Who pays for return shipping

  • My Goat Performance will cover return shipping when:
    • The product is faulty under the product warranty, or
    • You received an incorrect item or an item materially different from its listing. In these cases we will email a return shipping label.
  • If the return is not due to a manufacturer fault, the customer is responsible for return postage. We recommend using a tracked service (e.g., Australia Post or a reliable courier).
  • Returns will not be covered by Goat Performance for reasons including: change of mind, incorrect size ordered, item does not fit, or minor cosmetic marks consistent with normal manufacture/handling.

Warranty

  • Warranty applies to the original purchaser only. All warranty claims will be inspected and assessed by us or the supplier to determine if the issue is a manufacturing fault.
  • To make a warranty claim, email support@goatperformance.com.au with proof of purchase and clear photos of the defect.

  • Electrical items (pumps, motors, relays, etc) include a 12-month parts warranty covering replacement parts and postage for those parts to major centres within Australia. Return shipping of the full item is not covered; installation of parts is the customer’s responsibility.
  • For safety reasons, warranty for electrical components is valid only if installation or repairs are performed by an approved service technician or service centre. Contact us for authorised service guidance.

Turbocharger products — specialised warranty information

  • Turbo chargers include a 12-month parts warranty covering replacement parts and postage for those parts to major centres in Australia. Return shipping of the full item is not covered; installation of parts is the customer’s responsibility.
  • Warranty of turbocharger components is valid only if installation or repairs are performed by an approved service technician or service centre. Contact us for authorised service guidance.
  • Turbocharger failure is generally due to only a few issues.
  • Foreign objects being sucked through. For this reason we recommend the use of air pod filters and during installation and connecting pipework is properly cleaned and deburred to insure no possible foreign objects can go through the turbo charger.
  • Under oiling of turbochargers- Particularly with journal bearing turbos under oiling is a very common cause of failure, and failure can occur in only minutes once under load. As a journal bearing requires constant pressurised oil, to provide a barrier for the shaft to float on and not make contact with the journal bearing. For journal bearing turbochargers it is never recommended to use an oil restrictor. For ball bearing turbochargers less oil is required but very important to have the correct amount.
  • Over Oiling of turbochargers- Damage to turbochargers is not caused by over oiling. However a very common misconception is that the turbo seals have failed. Turbos do not have seals as most people think, but rather a metal ring (much like a piston ring), as it is not physically practical to have a traditional mechanical seal that is effective at such high rpm (80,000-200,000 rpm) and temperatures (150-1050 degrees C). In majority of circumstances “turbo seal failure” is either over oiling or most likely insufficient or ineffective drainage of the turbocharger.
